Reiki is an ancient rediscovered natural healing technique that Mikao Usui has brought back to life for all of us; in order to get our own life energy flowing again. How Reiki heals our Kundalini energy; to improve health and enhance the quality of life, we are alive because the life force is flowing through us. Life force flows through our physical body, it flows around us in a field of energy called the aura or Lightbody. Life force nourishes the organs and all cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body. The life force is responsive to thoughts and feelings; it becomes disrupted when we accept unconsciously negative thoughts or negative feelings about ourselves. These negative thoughts and feelings attach themselves to the energy field and cause a disruption in the flow of our own life force energy. This diminishes the vital function of the organs and cells of the physical body and we feel very tired.

Through an attunement; Reiki is transmitted to a student by a Pure Reiki Master during an attunement process. This process opens heart, throat, inner eye and crown chakra. With Reiki 2 Attunement the crown chakra gets another attunement this is for the spiritual part to activate our spiritual SQ mind and also the 2 palm chakras receive the ability to channel Reiki. For Reiki 2 you receive 3 symbols for distance healing. The Reiki attunements start a cleansing process that affects the physical body as well as the mind and emotions. Toxins that have been stored in the body may be released along with feelings and thought patterns that are no longer useful. After an attunement there is a 21 day cleansing the 10 chakra system each day. Once you have received the Reiki attunements, you will have Reiki for the rest of your life.

What do you feel with a Reiki healing? If you give Reiki, your hands can feel hot and sometimes cold, or we feel a tingling or pulling sensation in our hands, just shake this off and this will go away. Occasionally the Reiki energy we will feel no sensation at all; in this case ask the recipient what they are feeling. If they feel warm in some area of their body you know where it is working and the recipient can tell you when it cools down or changes. Sometimes we feel what the recipient is feeling. At times the recipient will say that they can't feel anything and then we know that Reiki is probably working on an emotional, mental or spiritual level. Accept that Reiki is working upon levels, and that it is working for the highest good of all concerned. Know this; we can do no harm with Reiki we are always protected.

Reiki for Animals is not known what animals experience when Reiki is applied, but they do tend to become noticeable quieter and soon let go and relax. When applying Reiki to domestic animals; lay your hands on their neck. To send Reiki to the rest of the body let your hands remain at places where you feel the animal has pain or to whatever area you are guided too. The Reiki healing for animals is the same as applying Reiki to people. In the case of small animals such as mice, guinea pigs, birds, cup them gently in your hands. Compared to other animals cats tend to react to Reiki differently. It is best to start cats off with small amounts of Reiki until they adjust, after they get used to Reiki energy they usually accept more. Cats and dogs 10 minute Reiki treatment and then independently gets up, stretches and says "I have had enough" and jump off or turn or walk away.
